Restrictions imposed in Srinagar areas
Srinagar: The district administration on Saturday imposed restrictions in Srinagar parts while a complete shutdown is being observed across the Valley to protest against the civilian killings in Kashmir.
The shutdown call was given by the Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) comprising of Syed Ali Geelani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq and Muhammad Yasin Malik following the killing of Khudwani youth during clashes a few days ago.
In response to shutdown call, authorities imposed restrictions in the areas falling under the jurisdiction of seven police stations including Rainawari, Khanyar, Nowhatta, Safakadal, M R Gunj, and partial in Maisuma, Kralkhud.
All the shops and other business establishments are also closed across the Valley to protest against civilian killings. (KNS)
