Says there is no respect for humans in Valley
Srinagar: Expressing concern over the continuous innocent killings in every nook and corner of Kashmir, Karwani Islami patron, Alama Ghulam Rasool Hami Friday said that with no letup in the killing of people, especially youth, it has once again come to fore that there is no respect for humans in the Valley.
Addressing a mammoth Friday Congregational gathering at Jamia Masjid Budgam here, Alama Hami according to the statement issued to KNS said life in Kashmir has become very tough as in some places; the situation is quite similar to that of early 90’s.
He said that even Imams of various masjids doing skull caps and beard are facing the wrath of forces in terms of torture and harassment.
Hami said that every Kashmiri person is living under the constant fear of getting killed and there is no denying the fact that majority community of Kashmir is reeling under threat.
“It is unfortunate that some Hindu extremists are playing politics over the rape and murder of minor Asifa which is a blot on the face on ruling regime,” he said, adding that New Delhi should shun its military approach and talk to Pakistan so that the vexed Kashmir issue is resolved so that peace prevails in entire South Asia.
