Salahuddin condemns arrest of Asiya Andrabi and associates, Says Dr Qasim on the verge of losing eyesight

Srinagar: Militant outfit Hizbul Mujhadeen Saturday condemned the arrest of Dukhtaren-e-Milat Chairperson Asiya Andrabi and her associates.

Andrabi and her associates according to police were arrested from Anchidora area of the district for their alleged role in female student protests and subsequent stone-pelting on the forces.

Syed Salahuddin, the Hizb and UJC Chief in a statement to CNS said that the arrest of Andrabi depicts the sheer frustration of Government of India and its aides in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Asiya Andrabi has been suffering from different ailments. Even her husband Dr Qasim, who is languishing in jail from past 25 years, is suffering from acute eye-infections. He is not being treated for this infection while reliable sources have revealed that he may lose his eyesight if left unattended,” Salahuddin said.

He reiterated that such policies will yield no positive results for India and thorough these, India can’t dampen the spirit of freedom loving people of Kashmir.

Syed Salahuddin appealed international human rights organization to take note of such atrocities and build pressure on India. He assured people of Kashmir that their struggle will bear fruits.
