‘Kashmiris have full faith on leadership’s loyalty, honesty’
Srinagar: Terming the arrests of Hurriyat leaders by National Investigation Agency (NIA) as ‘ploy’, United Jihad Council (UJC) on Thursday said that the Indian authorities and its policy making institutions are confused due to the ongoing movement in Kashmir.
In an e-mailed statement issued to KNS, the UJC spokesman Syed Sadaqat Hussain while quoting the outfit chief, Syed Salah-ud-din as saying that “the people of Kashmir have full faith on leadership’s loyalty and honesty.”
According to the statement, while addressing a high level meeting of UJC, he said that “the NIA raids on Hurriyat leaders’ houses and offices and arrests are being made as Delhi is scared of the leadership.”
He said that “the media and the agencies have launched camping with an aim to prove the leadership inefficient and invalid, which is impossible.”
UJC chief further expressed concern over the continuous detention of detainees especially Dukhtaran-e-Millat chief, Syedah Aasiya Andrabi and the deteriorating health condition of senior Hurriyat leader, Masarat Aalam.
He appealed Pakistan to urge world community especially amnesty international to play take notice over the sufferings of prisoners.
