The body of a woman missing from her in-law’s home in Nowgam area of Srinagar – summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir – was recovered after three days on Tuesday.
The family of Sumiya Akhter (35) said that the body was recovered from a stream in Gangbugh area of Batamaloo at 8 am today.
The family of Akhter had sought help from people to trace her after she went missing on July 9.
He brother Muhammad Amin Bhat said that she went missing from her in-law’s home at 5 am on Sunday.
The family members of the deceased staged a protest in Nowgam to demand a probe into her death.
