Srinagar: Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah has strongly condemned the shifting of Syeda Aasiya Andrabi, the chairperson of Dukhtaran-e-Millat, and her two associates Fahmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen, to Tihar jail, terming it New Delhi’s “frustration”

Let spokesperson Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued to GNS quoted Shah as saying that the NIA and Indian institutions level fake allegations against the pro-freedom leadership so as to suppress the indigenous freedom struggle.

“Such vicious plans will never succeed,” Mehmood Shah said, adding, “India is plotting deadly conspiracies and will fall to any extent for political gains.”

He said the lives of Dukhtaran-e-Millat leadership are in danger.

The LeT chief appealed to United Nations to “take notice of India’s atrocities and play due proactive role in securing the release of Syeda Aasiya Andrabi and her associates”.

Mehmood Shah hailed the move by joint resistance leadership (JRL) of observing complete shutdown and maintaining civil curfew against the shifting of Aasiya Andrabi and her associates.
