India and Pakistan armies traded fresh fire along the Line of Control in Jammu division’s Poonch district on Saturday, marking the Republic Day of India.
Official sources said Pakistan army targeted Indian posts at Mendhar area in Poonch while Indian army retaliated in “equal proposition.”
SDPO Mendhar Neeraj Padyar told GNS that shelling started this morning and continued intermittently thereafter for few hours. There was no reports about injury to anyone on either side so far.
