BSF Inspector dies of cardiac arrest in Srinagar

Srinagar: An officer of Border Security Force (BSF) died due to cardiac arrest in outskirts of Srinagar district on Thursday.

“Inspector Pankaj Bisat posted at Pantha Chowk fell unconscious due to heart stroke,” a police officer told news agency GNS.

Pankaj, a resident of Ghaziabad Utter Pradesh was immediately shifted to nearby hospital by his colleagues where doctors declared him brought dead on arrival.

The police officer said that the officer apparently died due to the heart attack.

“Proceedings under the section of 174 CrPC has been initiated by Police in this regard”, the officer said.

Meanwhile, the body of the deceased was handed over to the concerned unit for further course of action, the officer added.
