70 codeine phosphate bottles recovered from school teacher

Srinagar: Police today recovered 70 codeine phosphate bottles from government school teacher at Lolab area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district.

According to a police official, police during routine checking intercepted a vehicle at Sogam in Lolab. During the checking of the vehicle, 70 codeine phosphate bottles were recovered but its driver and owner namely Zahoor Ahmad Wani managed to flee from the spot.

The police said that Zahoor, a resident of Lalpora Lolab, is a government teacher. “We have registered a case under FIR number 52/2017 under NDPS Act and a team has been constituted to nab the accused,” he added.(GNS)
